The Public Ledger

The Money Ledger/Financial conflicts & self-dealing

An itemized account of documented and credibly reported financial conflicts of interest involving the Trump and Biden administrations and their families — with the evidentiary status of every entry stated on its face, under one standard for both.

This site does not editorialize about motive. It records transactions: who paid, who was paid, how much, and what official act sat nearby. Each entry is labeled Documented (official records, court filings, or government reports), Reported (investigative reporting by major outlets, not independently adjudicated), or In litigation. Where an allegation was investigated and not established, the entry says so.

Why the counts are lopsided. The ledger counts documented events, not column inches, and the two columns are different sizes because the documented records are different sizes. The Biden-orbit record — the foreign payments, Burisma, the family pardons — is itemized here in full, including what investigators did not establish. The Trump-orbit list is longer because that record is longer: court judgments, settlements, disclosure filings, and payments running through businesses held while in office. The standard is the event, not the balance. If a documented item is missing from either column, corrections are welcome.

Documented Reported In litigation Evidence labels are applied per-entry under one standard for both administrations. "Reported" items rest on named investigative reporting and have not been adjudicated. Corrections are welcome — every entry lists its sources.
